Raising Golden Retrievers the right way is a full-time commitment of love, time, and energy. Because of this, we’ve created clear policies to help protect our time and ensure we can give our full attention to the families who are truly ready to welcome one of our puppies into their lives.

Application Process

If you are interested in one of our puppies, the first step is to fill out our puppy application. Please include any questions you may have directly in the application, so that we can review and go over everything with you during the approval process.

We carefully read each application to ensure our puppies are placed with families who are ready for the lifelong commitment of a Golden Retriever. If your application is approved, we will invite you to place a deposit to secure your spot on our waitlist.

Serious Families Only

This process is for serious families who are ready to place a deposit if approved. Over the years, we have spent hours, days, and even weeks answering questions and supporting families who ultimately backed out or disappeared without explanation. As much as we care for every family who reaches out, this is very valuable time that takes away from both our dogs and the families who have already committed.

For that reason, we now give priority to families who have placed a deposit for a current or future puppy. These families receive the majority of our time and updates, as we know they are fully committed.

Why We Do Things This Way

We are not a large kennel with office managers or staff. It is just me and my husband, in our home, living with our dogs and giving them our all. Our dogs and puppies are raised inside our home as part of our family, and our time is extremely limited because we devote ourselves to giving them the very best life they deserve.

My husband often helps by speaking with families before deposits are placed when I am especially busy, but please understand that this is still a small, family effort — not a business run from behind a desk.

We care deeply about the families we work with and are committed to providing lifelong support to those who welcome one of our puppies. Our goal is to be transparent and fair, while also protecting the time and care we owe to the dogs in our home and to the families who have made the decision to join our program.

By following this process, we can ensure that every minute we spend is invested where it truly matters: raising healthy, well-rounded puppies and building lasting relationships with the families who love them.
